I recently dined at Sura Restaurant, a spacious Korean eatery located in the heart of downtown. The restaurant offers plenty of seating, making it a great spot for both casual meals and group gatherings. Craving something warm and comforting, I ordered tteokbokki, sundubu-jjigae, and bibimbap. The tteokbokki had a nice balance of sweetness and spice, with chewy rice cakes coated in a rich, flavorful sauce. The sundubu-jjigae was packed with soft tofu and had just the right level of spice to warm me up. The highlight, however, was the dol-sot bibimbap—a sizzling hot stone bowl filled with colorful vegetables, bulgogi, and a perfectly crispy layer of rice at the bottom. The portions were generous, and the flavors were spot-on, reminding me of home-cooked Korean meals. With its spacious layout and authentic dishes, Sura Restaurant is a solid choice for anyone craving Korean food in downtown. I’ll definitely be back!
food was delicious, service was great. we came in a hour and half before closing and food was just as fresh and delicious as it wouldve been at lunch. the place is beautiful and tiny. its a great atmosphere with a calm vibe while still holding a specific aesthetic to it. Definitely feels like a gatekept place and would recommend it to anyone.
Stumbled upon this Korean-Japanese fusion restaurant during lunch time, and what a great option in downtown Providence! We got the stone bowl bibimbap, fried rice, California roll, shrimp tempura roll and the sweet potato roll. All were exceptional, with great flavor and sauces to accompany! Loved the staff as well, they were very friendly, quick and attentive (in a very graceful way). Thank you for a great lunch!

The place is really nice. The sweet ladies working the place were amazing. I had the dumpling soup and a tempura roll. Everything taste so great and watching the lady make my roll was really cool. Everything looked and smelt amazing, I can't wait to come back and try some other food.
I ordered the kimbap and tteokbokki for lunch, takeout so I can't speak to anything but the food, and it was phenomenal. Each would have been plenty of food on their own, I ended up with leftovers. The tteokbokki was nicely spicy, not too hot but the free side of pickled radish really helped cleanse the pallet every couple of bites. The kimbap was also really good and quite big. It came with a few extra pieces of pickled (radish?) on the side as well. I'm definitely interested in more of what Sura has to offer. Both menu options were under $15 a piece, so very affordable.
I ordered takeout, and my experience was amazing. I'm huge on first impressions, and the bag alone was a great presentation to my order. I ordered the Providence Roll which was amazing. I am very likely to return and dine in, as the atmosphere is gorgeous and the staff are pleasant.
Plus my boba did not fit through the straw there. The sushi was great, but not exceedingly so. The rest of the menu looked incredible, and I will be returning to try the Bulgogi and other dishes. Stay tuned for an updated review once I have returned and dined again.
